All have noticed that there is a great deal of confusion surrounding the job roles of web design and web developer. Web designers use various design programs to create the layout of the website. On the other hand, web developers take a website design and provide a functioning website from it using the program such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, and more to bring life to the design file.

It is rare to find out a web developer because, at present, there are very few who know every programming language. Web designers have a creative mindset, whereas web developers usually think methodically.

So, in such a situation, it is hard to find a good web designer who is also good at web development. There are differences and connections between them. A web designer is responsible for the visual or aesthetic job, while the web developer is the invisible design of the coding side.

Web designers have a significant role because they need to integrate the best user experience possible, create a welcoming environment for the user. Their work is to change the idea of writing of the user into a functional design and interface.

If a web designer loads a file, it takes a long to load as either the file has too much content or it is tangled. On the other side, if we give the same work to a web developer, they will load the content faster either by better file compression or reduce the file size. Web designer handles traditional graphic design like color and typography along with digital concerns.

Skills that a web designer should have:

• Emergence: Visuals arrange that one can understand what they want to represent easily.
• Reification: It let us exercise restraint in design.
• Typography: It shapes our perception of ideas. There are plenty of resources on the web to help broaden the knowledge related to typography.
• Color theory: As a web designer, the person should be aware of the color wheel and how complementary, contrasting, and analogous colors work together.

Small and medium-sized companies looking for web design or a re-design may get confused by the blurred lines surrounding the terms web design and web developer.

Although some individuals do both the work, many companies have dedicated designers that create the website layout and then handover the design files to a programmer who completes the development stage. Developers and designers usually work together as a team. The designer provides designs and images that will attract guests. Then the developer combines all the visuals into a website while making sure all its functionalities work perfectly. Web design and web developers are interchangeably used as web companies alternate the way they provide their services.
